Spring is most certainly ‘springing’ and the Easter break is in the rear view mirror. This means that school will soon be back in session! It’s the perfect time of year to learn new things or to simply brush up your skills. There are some great character voice events coming up:
Creating Character Voices (Course – City Lit, London*)
Thursday evenings, 18:30-20:30 – 14th April-19th May 2016
This is a basic course for anyone wishing to learn how to create character voices for video games, animation, stage, TV or film. We’ll cover the basics and give you tried and tested tools and techniques to create your own merry band of characters, which you can then alter to suit any performance situation. The course is packed with practical knowledge, exercises and recording in the voice booth. You’ll work hard, but you’ll also have lots of fun!
Voice Acting for Animation (Workshop – City Lit, London*)
Consecutive Sundays, 11:00-16:00 – 17th & 24th April 2016
This workshop is an in depth look at character voice for animation. We’ll briefly review character creation tools (covered in Creating Character Voices) and build on this with character creation, scene work, recording, ADR, and industry tips. It’s full on and an absolute blast!

Private Coaching
As always, I’m available from The Shed Studio in East London for private coaching. Sessions are 1.5 hours to work on whatever you’d like, eg voice over skills, character voice, or content for your demo reels.
